Judge Me Not

Judge me not by what you don't understand
Please judge me for what I am
Judge me not by what you see
Loose shirt, baggy jeans
But by the character in me
Judge me not by what you hear
Jumbled words of slang to you unclear
But by my pain, shown in tears
Judge me not by what you thought
Evil girl, skills and manners untaught
But by the good battles I've fought
Judge me not by my race
Plain white girl, ordinary face
But by my beliefs, upheld in good taste
Judge me not by whom I date
A different skin color, a different mate
But by the pure miracle of fate
Judge me not by what you don't understand
Please judge me by what I am
