Ten More Days | |
Seven more children to feed. Eleven more houses to build. A hundred more dollars I need. Three more companies billed. Twenty more years til I'm old, they say. One more clock that tells time. Eight minutes it took me today To find 99 words that rhyme. Twenty-one years in three more weeks. One more reason to smile. 21 smacks on my behind cheeks Ought to hold me for a while. Three more numbers to feel I'm done. Two more lines to write. I'll stop myself after I do this one... And find four pillows and a restful night. |
