We should be thankful on this day, Give praise to the lady in things she does and say. She was loving and caring in teaching you to walk, Even more patience was there when we learned to talk. Mother was there with you through bad and good, And she was always telling us to eat the right food. When I needed to cry she was there. When I was bad the punishment was hard but fair. I'll always love my mother, Never in the world would I trade her for another. Ellen Mendenhall Dedicated to My Mom and Mothers around the World © 1997 |
