I waited for the leaves to fall
The trees to change their hue
And woke one morning to recall
The ground covered in dew
I watched as Old Man Winter
Stripped down the landscape bare
And by the fireplace I sat
As snowflakes filled the air
While gazing out my window
Alone up in my room
I chanced to hear a robin sing
I witnessed spring in bloom
And when the summer's rays
Brought moisture to my brow
I drank of cool, sweet lemonade
And danced through fields of flowers
But as the seasons came and went
Two things remained untouched
The heart and soul inside of me
Still love you oh so much
